Travel suggestions

Getting there:

Breckenridge is an extremely popular destination most of the year. In September, the gorgeous Fall vistas bring visitors from all over the country, which has dramatically increased congestion on I70. The drive time to and from Denver is often 2.5 – 3.5 hours.

Arrival: we suggest aiming to get to Beaver Run by 3pm at the latest. If you’re flying in to Denver International you’ll want to land there by around 11am. (If you are here earlier there will be an optional opportunity to go for a short hike with some of the ladies).

Departure: Afternoon traffic on I70 heading back to Denver is particularly slow on Sundays. If you plan to fly out of DIA on Sunday, please book an evening flight.

Arriving a day early and/or leaving a day later – Sept 21 – 25 – would eliminate the stress of trying to get to the event on time on Friday or make your flight home on Sunday. It would also give you time to explore the quaint Victorian town of Breckenridge, take in the magnificent fall colors, hike in the mountains or simply relax and take some time for yourself.

Shuttle Services to the mountains:

High Altitude Self-care:

Breckenridge sits at about 9600 ft up in the Rocky Mountains. The air is thin and some people can be affected by the altitude. Please read the Altitude article on one of our local Naturopathic Clinic’s website.
